Shiane attended Montgomery County Public Schools from 2002 to 2009 where she skipped kindergarten and went straight to the first grade at the age of 5. She was an A honor roll student every year. Outside of the classroom, Shiane was very active. She loved to dance and started gymnastics, ballet and tap from the age of 3. She loved music and started playing the piano at the age of 5. Her love of music expanded when she started playing clarinet in the 4th grade at Cedar Grove Elementary School and was a first chair clarinet in her Rocky Hill Middle School band.
